NYU’s Premiere Co-Ed Bollywood Fusion Dance Team

Simone joined NYU’s Co-Ed Bollywood Fusion Dance Team, NYU Dillagi, in 2016 to continue dancing in college and in New York. NYU Dillagi has been an active dance team for the last 5 years, participating in gigs in and around New York City and in inter-college dance competitions. The team performs a range of dance styles including, bollywood, hip-hop, contemporary, bhangra, modern, raas, tollywood and classical Indian dance.

During her time on the team, Simone has been an active dancer and choreographer. She was the team’s Social Media Head, building up their marketing platform and Social Media Image. During her Junior year at NYU, Simone was a captain of Dillagi, focusing on the creative and choreography aspects of the team. Simone has been involved with various committees on Dillagi including, set design, sound design, costume design, props, lighting, projections and events management.
