SOCAPA SummER DANCE INtENsIVE

Simone’s formal training in Hip-Hop and Contemporary Dance was at SOCAPA: The School of Creative and Performing Arts in New York City for their summer intensive. Simone rigorously trained in contemporary and hip-hop for up to 40 hours a week for 2 weeks, learnt musical theatre jazz dance from a Broadway choreographer, choreographed a jazz piece with peers and participated in and filmed a hip-hop music video based on The Great Gatsby.
